Comments Thread For: Carlos Adames on Jermall Charlo: He's Gonna Avoid Me His Whole Career!

As of late, Carlos Adames has been forced to settle for his second option. Initially, after getting his career back on the winning track, the 29-year-old reeled off three consecutive victories. In the immediate aftermath, the Dominican native was hopeful that he had done just enough to warrant a title shot against one of the middleweight division's current belt holders.

Apparently Adames is pumped up with all that training. Don't know where he gets he is the best MW when he lost to Teixeira.

It's because his buddy Mauricio is going to let him reign for 8 more years without fighting.

So, one loss defines the rest of your career? Does being undefeated equate to being the best? After a loss, can you not improve and be better than you were before? Oh, the irony of some fans.
Also, if you did watch the Texeira fight you would have learned that Carlos was winning that fight but he gassed out and had he not gone down in one of the late rounds he would have won that fight. I would put money on it that if he faced him again he would soundly beat Texeira. He appears to be better conditioned right now. Besides, as they say, styles make fights.

Charlo is the better boxer and technician than Texeira and also has much more power.

As I already said, "styles make fights." By that logic I can point out that Adames took out Juan Matias Montiel in 3 rds while Charlo went life and death with him. And not to mention that Charlo has not fought in the last two years while Carlos has been active.
