Why Didn't Vegas Rob Bivol When He Fought Canelo?

Lately I've been wondering about this because it seemed as if Bivol was destined to lose. I thought he was going to win but would be robbed as many others have been robbed fighting Canelo in Vegas. But Bivol somehow was able to buck the trend. How?

I mean it was obvious that the judges almost robbed Bivol, saying he won by only one round when he nearly pitched a shutout. But for whatever reason, they allowed Bivol to walk away with the belts. Why? I'm still wondering about this because it's obvious that there was an intention to rob Bivol, but it seems as if Vegas suddenly changed its mind at the last second.

I suspect that had they let Canelo win, it would have been such a controversy, such an obvious robbery, that it would have been nearly impossible to sweep it under the rug. What does everyone else think?

do you think it was due to Bivol being so convincing and that to let Canelo keep the belts would have been too unbelievable? Had Canelo walked away with the belts, what do you think would have happened? Do you think it would have been such a huge scandal that it would be nearly impossible to deny robbery? I might have to look at the fight thread on here and see what people were saying.

It would of been a blatant robbery. Carnela would of got alot of flack and he goes delusional saying he deserved the win. Hell he thought the judges were gonna bail him out and was ready to celebrate when they were announcing the scorecards.

What belts? Canelos at 168 weren't at risk only bivols single titlebelt was at stake.

Yeah. I meant to say belt. Bivol s belt. Why did they not hand over Bivols belt to Canelo.

Bcs he gassed out too early.

Still gave to UDvol his toughest fight just behind Richards.

Because they couldn't.. Bivol literally wasn't fazed by anything Canelo threw at him I remember something like round 7 or 8 Canelo threw the kitchen sink at him and Bivol just plodded forward like a father walking down a son

Yeah but they still could have made it a draw or given Canelo the win and let the train keep rolling. All the judges cards were the same, exactly, which was weird too. I wonder if the card tally guy was given a different card, after being told to let Bivol win. Those cards were weird. They were exactly the same.

But I think they could have, just like Manny vs Bradley. I am wondering if it was due to the betting in Vegas. That too many had put too much money on Bivol at the end. I wonder what the odds were at Draftkings for the rounds. I bet it was like a -1,000 at the end. Maybe that had something to do with it. The betting. Too many people would have come down on the casinos.
