If PWill can improve his defense then he beats Pavlik easy.

The real problem was that Pavlik was ducking Abraham and Sturm, either of whom would have posed a hugh risk to his belt! Also, foreign fighters require too much advertising and promotional cost to generate the expected profit.
The last part is the real reason why neither fight happened. Sturm has been forever pricing himself out of stateside fights, though I honestly don't blame him - for the way he was treated by the Vegas officials against Oscar, he has every right to demand full compensation for another trek over here.

With Abraham, I honestly believe it to be nothing more than Arum and Sauerland going big **** with one another. Pavlik has no reason to duck any middleweight, though the only thing I will say is that he should've/could've been more vocal when it was obvious that Arum was stalling on making such a fight.

I don't usually wander in the filth of rumors but lets face it, Kelly Pavlik has a known drinking problem. Can you beat Paul Williams, a more gifted fighter athletically speaking, with that kind of baggage? I don't think you can. I never thought he could beat Taylor so he may surprise but it seems that Kelly has too much going on in his life to beat a top pound for pound fighter like Williams. I think Williams cruises to a decision

That is what can make this fight a great end to the year!

People are assuming that the Pavlik who showed up against Hopkins is the one who will show up here. That's their first mistake. Guys have off-nights. Whether it's mental, physical, or both, he was off. Hopkins is just a guy few fighters in history can afford to be off against. But he wasn't really hurt by a man (Hopkins) who is naturally much larger than Williams.

This is two guys who throw a lot of punches. One man, Pavlik, has a lot more natural power. The other, Williams, can produce some more angles.

We saw in PWill's fight with Margacheato that volume punching will wear him down. The difference here being that they Margo was only 147 and threw his punches wide. Pavlik is a little sharper with his throws, naturally larger, and if he finally throws to the body, he'll cut Williams down. Winky also hurt Williams with a punch or two, even though Winky has never been able to crack.

I just don't expect Paul to use as much movement as he has to in order to escape with a decision victory. He's never been that guy.

Williams will punish him for 12 rounds.

Kolle durable, seriously what do you know. He's fought two good fighters and both stopped him. Vanda is a never been, I was ringside when he lost his frist fight to Clay, not that good. Bonsante and Reid were wwaaayyyy past it. Kolle, not durable. Phillips was overwhelmed and was a solid win, but it wasn't power that stopped him and it wasn't at 160. The Winky win was great for Williams, but he didn't show power there either and Winky wasn't hurt in that fight, he couldn't deal with Paul's workrate and length. And Pavlik is only 27 with one loss (which he should've learned something from) and hasn't been beat up. Your a bit premature on your assessment there kid. No need for you to question anyone else's knowledge when that's the retort you put out there.
