He was a dangerous opponent at 140 not many people wanted anything to do with him, on paper yes you could say he could of done more but in reality he pretty much did as much as he could.

      We're talking before Mayweather?

Personally, I loved his title winning effort against Garcia. Garcia was an undefeated up and coming champ who I liked and he was putting the beats on Diego when the tide suddenly changed. But it was his wins over Manfredy and Gainer that made everyone sit up.

The problem for Kessler (and Calzaghe at the time) is that SMW is a division that hasn't seen a lot of American domination and thus TV audiences.

It's the reason that P4P lists are mostly worthless. How can anyone judge if you're only seeing five or six weight divisions regularly?

Had Kessler and a few of the other top SMWs been American I firmly believe he would have been top 10.

Calzaghe beat the best his divsion(168) had to offer. Mayweather hasn't beaten the best his divsion(147) has to offer.

          Carry on.

Kessler? I remember a lot of my American friends being excited about him. I think that's a pretty lame excuse - you can pretty much whatever fight you want regardless of where they're from. Nearly all the European super middles have been featured regular on Showtime - from the days of Been & Eubank even up until today.

So the only division Floyd has fought in is 147?

If your gonna use Calzaghe's first division as an example (or his best one) then at least use Floyd's example as SFW or LW... his best division.
