Comments Thread For: Keith Thurman Says Motivation To Get Back To Knocking People Out Comes From Gervonta Davis

Keith Thurman wants to return to living up to his moniker, "One Time," and he has an unlikely figure to thank for that. The former welterweight titlist said in a recent interview that watching fights of Gervonta "Tank" Davis has compelled him to get back to landing "critical blows" on his opponents.

You have to be a bad MF to knock people out from a rocking chair.

When he started facing non-cans, he resorted to Run-time, grab and hold Thurnan. Keith never had legit one punch power..One-time was a hype job moniker.

Sadly his motivation to fight more often comes from Gary Russell Jr.

Keith heard the Spence - Bud news and decided it was finally safe to pop his head up again.

Thurman’s power is and always has been a complete f***ing myth. As soon as the competition stepped up, the KO’s immediately stopped.

I’m convinced “One Time” just represents how many times he fights per year.

Thurman is not a big one punch ko artist, but a very good boxer.

By yeah, a somewhat past his prime Pacquiao still had enough to beat him convincingly. Unfortunate for Keith that he didn't get the Spence fight.

If he is confident he is or can be the best welterweight in the world, then fight Ennis. If he wins, his stock will skyrocket incredibly, although I don't think he'd win that fight.

His other bet would be to move up and fight for the light middleweight titles.
