Comments Thread For: Haney Calls Lomachenko 'A F------ Sore Loser,' Says He Was Fined $400K For Push At Weigh-In

This haney always has that permanent goofball look on his face... and here we see he's a whiner as well.
Moretti, for one, did a flat out pathetic job of refereeing the bout... and at 78 it's obvious he needs to retire.
As for the other 2... ridiculous cards for a fight that should've been basically a one point win for either fighter.
I had Loma by a point, but would've seen a draw or 1 point haney win. This type decision mars the sport.Comment

Wouldn’t that require Haney to go to 140 and then bring Loma up there to fight him!

He cannot control the losing fighter's words or emotions. Haney has yet to lose a close high-stakes fight, so he doesn't know for sure how he'll respond in the same scenario. Haney accomplished the goal by retaining his titles. Go on vacation and enjoy your victory. Ultimately, the only one that can irreparably tarnish Haney's brand and reputation....is himself. Haney cost himself that 400K, not Loma. Haney showed no restraint at the weigh-in when he shoved Loma, and now he can't restrain himself from publicly responding to the negativity. Sometimes the best course of action is SILENCE and allowing people to believe what they want. The uproar from this fight can be used to fuel the promotion for Haney's next big fight. If Haney aims to use this situation to begin cultivating a "villain" persona, then maybe he should keep talking.
What a load of crap. If anyone needs to grow up it's Nomachenko. Devin was quite respectful post-fight. You expect him to keep quiet while someone is tarnishing his rep and compromising his brand? He isn't even doing too much, all that he said is what people with sense also said.
