Average fan scorecard for Loma vs Haney

Close fight indeed. I had Loma winning 7 rounds to 5 or a draw was expected. But not close enough for Haney to take the nod. Plus the ESPN commentator were such cheerleaders and went into damage mode at the end of the fight. Never seen them talk for 30 minutes trying to convince everyone ti was not a robbery. Everyone that were watching the fight in my home thought that Loma one and some of us were going for Haney.Comment

Yeah I think giving Lomachenko the first round is extremely generous. The only meaningful punches in that round were thrown and landed by Haney.Comment

I think the Kellerman scorecard and commentary had an influence on a lot of scorecards. When I rewatch this fight, I'm going to watch it in Espanol. Just to get a new perspective without the ESPN crew pushing their views. People in attendance had it much wider than that. Regardless, everyone knows the wrong man won.Comment

Ortiz wasn't robbed. That narrative is getting old. You need to rewatch that fight if that's what you think. That was a clear win for Loma too.Same people are ok with Jermaine Ortiz being robbed on the cards.
This was a close fight, if you think it was 115-113 either way, accept the result, it's not like anyone had Loma a 120-108 winner .
Loma doesn't give a crap about anyone anyway, he just want to support the Ukrainian Orthodox Church...Comment

Loma landed a clean uppercut and threw a flurry at the very end of the round where one or maybe two punches landed. He threw two or three flurries in that round, the crowd reacted but all of his punches missed.
Haney landed a clean left hook at the beggining of the round and then landed good bodyshots.
I think it was a close round and if you give it to Haney (as the three judges did, as this site did), then the average fan scorecard becomes a draw.Comment

Very Accurate IMO, had it similar
7-5 either way I'm OK with, Draw would've been better honestly. Was a Close fight and NEITHER dominated and neither never really separated themselves with a Knockdown or anything.
I do believe the saying "You Have To Take It From The Champ" I think Loma madr a crucial and now looking at it costly mistake not finishing that 12th Round Stronger. In A close fight like that you cannot just assume that you've done enough to winLast edited by sicko; 05-21-2023, 08:35 PM.Comment

I have Loma winning only r3, r10 and r11. Haney's body work is being overlooked.
You should probably watch it. There were a lot of close rounds early that could have easily swayed it Haney's way.
This is the most ridiculous overeaction to a close fight that I've ever seen. The 10th and 11th were clear Lomachenko rounds, and it feels like people are trying to base the "robbery" off of those 2 rounds alone.Comment
