It was a close fight and difficult to score

    I had it 6-6

Loma had the best moments but boxing is scored round by round

I thought Haney edged most of the early rounds

    Loma came on strong late

Only people who have an agenda think this fight was a robbery. Loma lost a close, competitive fight.

      That's all.

Loma fights are only scored for what he does in 3 rounds. Every round is based on his 3 best rounds. Nothing else matters. that's why he should be undefeated . hahaha

I don’t think anyone really “believes” Haney won. But they have an agenda so they can pretend he won. They will watch and rewatch trying to find reasons to give Haney rds he really shouldn’t be awarded to feel better.

ridiculous. haney got backed up the entire night. landed single shot body shots that was either grazed or blocked. loma pushed the younger, bigger fighter, landed the OBVIOUSLY cleaner shots like lead jabs, lead left hands. hurt haney multiple times. landed combinations.

did haney land a single combination combo?

            ridiculous scorecard.

            loma was utterly robbed.

To give Haney a win, you gotta give him rounds where Loma landed a far greater quantity of hard, clean shots. There's a reason maybe 10% at most genuinely think Haney won.

The three judges who know how to score the fight believed that haney won the fight with ease.

My friend, whom I will simply refer to as Henry, himself a former boxer, sat down with me recently to explain some of the finer details behind the Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Devin Haney fight.

Not content with the official result, Henry argued that the Ukrainian's technical command of the ring, and the surprisingly quick punches he landed throughout the bout, should have been more than enough to give him maximum points on the cards.

With a lifetime of boxing experience behind him, Henry was certainly in the perfect position to break down the tactical approach that Lomachenko employed against the younger American champion.

He outlined to me how Lomachenko was adept at redirecting his own punches towards Haney from irregular angles, maximising the athlete's own power, and at the same time completely masking his own actions.

Henry was also impressed with Lomachenko's timing, with the Ukranian's punches often landing just as his young opponent committed to his own, which made it virtually impossible for Haney to aim his own shots in response correctly.

While I initially believed that Haney was the rightful victor, albeit narrowly, I was ultimately convinced by Henry’s analysis about why Lomachenko should have had his hand raised on that night.
