Yes. I was rooting for Lomachenko and found a lot of rounds hard to score, didn’t see him definitively win many rounds the first 8 rounds.

When he had Haney hurt in the 11th, and then took his foot off the gas halfway through the round, I knew he was gonna end up regretting that.

When Haney came back and won the 12th, that was it for me.Didn’t know how the scores were gonna go, but Lomachenko hadn’t done enough to take the titles in my eyes.

    Great fight.

Yeah this is what it really comes down to. I was rooting for Loma and saw him CLEANLY take about 3 rounds. The vast majority of the rounds were very hard to score. Most fans sit there looking for ways to score the round for their guy.

Mike Coppinger is employed by ESPN… shouldnt he be shilling for the house fighter? He had it a draw or 115-113 either way.

Show me a scorecard where Lomachenko won 7+ rounds so I can laugh at you. Max Kellerman had it 115-113 for Lomachenko, but his scorecard is disqualified because he had Lomachenko winning the 12th. There's no way Lomachenko won the 12th round which brings me to my last point...

Most people are momentum scorers. They watch the guy who has the momentum and start to give him every round until something devastating happens. Thing is, something devastating doesn't need to happen. All you have to do is out land your opponent. Speaking of which, I'm about done with Andre Ward and Timothy Bradley. Respect to them for what they've done in the spot, but those two are the worst momentum scorers we've ever had calling a fight.
I like what you said about what you call, "momentum scorers". That's a great point that hardly anyone ever mentions. Almost ALL the time it takes commentators a few rounds to catch up to what is ACTUALLY happening in the fight at the moment. They always seem to be scoring the fight that WAS happening in the present, while their missing the actually story of the fight as it unfolds. It confounds me every ****ing week and almost every fight. It's like they're trying to predict the outcome of the fight before it happens so they can say, "See, told you so. I knew how the fight would play out."

I don't think Haney won that fight but I do think it was close enough. There were only 2 decisive rounds, both of which Loma took.
