I feel like Loma's power is being really ignored for tonight. He can punch, even at this weight, and he is deadly accurate. And Haney does not have the punching power to keep Loma off him all night.

I feel like the Lopez fight has really skewed people's perception of Loma. I'll just say it, I think Lopez is more skilled and a better fighter than Haney. Lopez is a strong kid, very good skill, very fast, and he had the huge advantage of having sparred Loma many times. Loma comes back after a literal war leave and has some rust, but he dominated the kid last half of the fight. I think Loma should likely be the favorite here. Fighters can age fast, and anything could happen, but I believe we will see Haney take a beating tonight and likely get dropped, and possibly stopped.

Sure, it's very possible that Tank can defeat Devin Haney. After all, he does have that equalizer which is that left hand. However, I just don't see it happening.

I may be wrong but Tank is a counter puncher and so is Haney. Gervonta just won't be busy enough or throw enough punches to seriously threaten Devin.

Davis is going to look to land that single counter left hand all night along but unlike Ry Garcia; Haney won't bite the bait. He is too smart and fundamentally sound to do that.

While at the same time, Devin will being dissecting and outpointing Gervonta with his jab. However, unless Tank can turn this fight into a firefight; By getting Haney to open up to exchange and trade punches with him.

I just don't see him winning this fight because Haney won't give him nothing to hit. He won't open up offensively. He'll be too defensive.

However, Tank only does this when he's in with a fighter without a lot of punching power like; Leo Santa Cruz and Hector Luis Garcia. If the fighter has punching power and can hit; Then he backs up as he did against fighters like: Isaac Cruz, Rolly Romero and Ryan Garcia.

Now as far as the Mike Tyson's comparison is concerned; He was a much more complete fighter than Davis was in his prime. He had a better jab, foot work, took more risks, threw more punches and had a much better defense too.

A young Mike Tyson had the ability to slip jabs as well. Mike never fought off the back foot but Davis does.
Much respect! I think nobody has made him go Full Tyson! I think Calvin Ford would switch up the gameplan for Haney. Ryan has KO power, Devin not so much!

I thought it was highly entertaining and hotly contested fight. I thought both fighters deserved to win last night. In my judgement, there were no losers between Haney and Loma just winners.

I know that Haney got the nod from the judges but in my opinion both men walked out of that ring champions. I was highly impressed by the spirited efforts and championship hearts displayed by both men.

After what I witnessed last night; It's time for Haney to move up to 140 ASAP. It's because after a fast start; He gassed badly in the second half of that fight and nearly lost it by allowing Loma back into the fight.

Now, 135 just appears to be too high of a hurdle for him to leap at this stage of his career. At this point; I have both Tank and Shakur defeating him at 135.

I said b4 the fight, "win, lose, or draw, Haney needs to move up!" If he keeps draining himself, Tank will sleep him @ 135! Thanks for the feedback!

I agree and last night it showed. Last night his conditioning was very poor. After a fast start; He didn't throw any punches for three straight rounds going into the last third of the fight. Which allowed Loma a window into the fight.

It's because after 8 rounds had been completed; All three official judge's scorecards had Haney leading 5-3 or 77-75. Two of the three official judges scored the last third of the fight even at 2 a piece.

While the other scored it 3-1 in favor of Haney. Which is the reason why we had scores of 115-113, 115-113 and 116-112; All for the winner and still the undisputed Lightweight champion of the world Devin "The Dream" Haney.
