I don't know why people are using the first Quintana fight as a barometer of how P-Will will do against Pavlik. Quintana and Pavlik have totally different styles. Pavlik is a lot easier to hit. I'm favoring Williams to win this, but I'm not totally counting Pavlik out because he has Middleweight punching power.

Williams better run all night and rely on his jab otherwise he's dead meat.
Big difference between a slick boxing southpaw like Quintana and a slow footed one dimensional fighter like Pavlik.

I also don't think you can use Winky Wright as a barometer for Williams beating Pavlik, but Williams deserves credit for doing Pavlik's dirty work. Wright was a guy that Pavlik should've fought instead of Lockett and Rubio, but Arum wanted to protect the gravy train. I remember when he went off on Greg Leon on B-Talk everytime that Leon suggested that Pavlik fight Wright. That just goes to show you that Pavlik's title reign is a joke. I'm not even 100% sure that Pavlik can beat Winky Wright even though I give him a shot against Williams because of Paul's defensive liabilities.

No one answered my question, who the last good fighter Pavlik took out was. It was YEARS ago. He's been fighting bums and old men he thought he could beat since then.

A lot of people on here seem to think that Williams has gone from being the guy who was given a boxing lesson by a WW half his size to being a more energetic version of B Hop. The skill difference between Williams and Hopkins is significant, and while I'm sure it's an unpopular opinion to have, I also think that Jermain Taylor is more skillful than Williams.
I think Pavlik will win this, and I don't think it will be that close.
Neither fighter has seen what they will see in december = good fight!

Both williams and Pavlik are overrated and both have major limitations.
Williams will probably win though, because he is black.

Once more: Williams is being built up as some kind of highly skilled master boxer who is going to put on a clinic. The Quintana fight should be proof enough to anyone who sees it that Williams simply is not on that level. He's made improvements since that fight, but not to the extent that people are making out. Having overwhelmed Winky with volume doesn't change that.
