Moloney's win has further enhanced Inoue's legacy

With his world title win, Moloney gives Inoue another former/current/future world titlist on his resume. And unlike a lot of guys who hunted washed fighters or dragged them to an unnatural weight (Gervonta Davis, we're looking at you), every one of the titlists that Inoue beat was ranked in the top 10 of the division Inoue fought them in at the time of the fight by the TBRB.

Inoue's notable opponents, their TBRB rankings at the time of the fight, and their relevant title achievements:
#10 Ryoichi Taguchi (future WBA/IBF/Ring light flyweight champion)
#1 Adrian Hernandez (reigning WBC light flyweight champion)
#1 Omar Narvaez (reigning WBO super flyweight champion)
#8 Kohei Kono (2X WBA super flyweight champion)
#5 Jamie McDonnell (former IBF bantamweight champion)
#5 Juan Carlos Payano (former WBA bantamweight champion)
#6 Emmanuel Rodriguez (reigning IBF bantamweight champion)
#4 Nonito Donaire (unification, reigning WBA bantamweight champion)
#8 Jason Moloney (future WBO bantamweight champion)
#2 Nonito Donaire (unification, reigning WBC bantamweight champion)
#8 Paul Butler (unification, reigning WBO bantamweight champion)

11-0 against future/current/former world titlists ranked in the top 10 division he fought them in at the time of the fight. 6-0 against the top 5.

No matter what happens in the Fulton fight, Inoue's resume is beyond reproach.

Fulton is not overrated. He has fought tough competition consistently and there's no shame if Inoue beats him.

I had that fight even, 114-114, but I wouldn't have a problem with 115-113 Figueroa or 115-113 Fulton. Calling it a gift either way is nuts. It was a razor close fight.

But even if he'd been given that L, he still has fought really tough competition throughout his career. He fought four undefeated dudes in a row and outclassed Angelo Leo, Danny Roman, and Paulus Ambunda.

Fulton is a great fighter. It's fine if you think he lost the Figueroa fight but he can't control the scorecards and win/lose/draw that was a great fight and it doesn't negate the rest of his resume.

Fair enough. Also figuroa did himself no favors by absolutely not moving his head the entire fight lol no weaving or anything at all

            I love you
