marquez punch!!! no effect on mayweather

i've seen the fight posted on youtube, this one was at ringside view.
i noticed that marquez best shot which was a looping right did'nt actually have any effect on mayweather. this punch actually connected at the very first round, to my amazement, he just laugh it off.

i guess that's the story of it all.... mayweather laughing off whatever marquez threw at him.

jmm is a smaller fighter true..but people underestimate floyds chin he's got a solid beard...

JMM never really had that much power. His strength was his stamina in the later rounds, while his opponent is tired out by then, in the lightweight and featherweight divisions. Him being overweight and losing his speed didnt help him in this fight at all

Floyd has a great chin but sometimes people smile because they get caught clean. Floyd isnt use to being hit clean so I think it shocked him a little and he smiled as to say "good shot but you have to do more then that".

This is most likely the case. More often than not, when a guy smiles after getting caught like that, it's because it got his attention. Floyd was, as you mentioned, just saying "it's going to take more than that". IMO of course.
