It didn't hurt him, but it sure has hell got his attention, after the 2nd round (or round he got hit in) he was doing something with his lips (guessing cause of the punch) he did it again after that but it was obvious Marquez never hurt him just like some poster said caught him by surprise (hitting him flush).

A blown up Lightweight if you want to get technical. Marquez is 126/130 fighter who oly moved up to 135 to fight Pac. He did not look as a good at 135 compared to 126/130.

Marquez in reality moved up from 130 (Super Featherweight) to WW.

to be honest with you, without ****ting to anyone.... i think that is a case of wait and see, if pacquaio knocks out cotto, i don't see any reason why he won't be able to hurt mayweather.

and again that is a big if.

i've seen the fight posted on youtube, this one was at ringside view.
i noticed that marquez best shot which was a looping right did'nt actually have any effect on mayweather. this punch actually connected at the very first round, to my amazement, he just laugh it off.

i guess that's the story of it all.... mayweather laughing off whatever marquez threw at him.

jmm was too damn small. that's all there was to it.

why do you think floyd came out of retirement to fight jmm, because he knew he posed no threat, by either out working him or hurting him..........

they might have fought at the same weights during their career, but floyd still was growing, he still had a boys body and has grown up. jmm on the other hand fought at the lower weights as a man, and moved up later in his career, whatever power he had when he was at the lower weights, it didn't follow him up the the heavier weight class, especially against someone who is bigger and weighs more...........

floyd was never in any danger at all in or near this fight, and he knew that going into it......

I actually heard that floyd actually smiles when he really feels a punch. Kinda like when pacquiao lifts his arms up but unfortunately there wasnt that much punches landed for jmm

Most fighter smile or shake their head "no" when they get hit with a good shot. That almost always means that the punch hurt to a degree. Mayweather has a decent chin and has been caught from time to time.
