Eddie Chambers Talks Klitschko Fight, Arreola's Loss

BoxingScene.com caught up with heavyweight contender Fast Eddie Chambers (35-1), who gives his opinion on what went wrong for Chris Arreola during last Saturday's loss to Vitali Klitschko. The WBO mandatory challenger to Wladimir Klitschko also speaks on his keys to victory and bringing back the WBO title to the United States. [details]

Fights with Chambers, Povetkin and perhaps Haye would surely raise Wladimir's reputation. Vitali is beginning to be recognized as the better fighter of the two but I think Wladimir is fighting the better opposition.

I agree with Chambers that you can't just stand outside or walk in and let the Klitschko brothers hold you. Easier said than done though but Chambers did punch his way in very effectively against Dimitrenko.

speed is king, and chambers got those quick hands. but i think in order to bother Klitschko, Wladimir in this case, you have to hurt him. Otherwise you'd end up trying to box him, and i think that's what Eddie intends to do. he cant use speed for power so he'll try to use speed for skill. i think it's a difficult task trying to outbox Wlad.

In the fight with Thompson, Wlad looked kinda off his gameplan early, then after 2 rounds when he realized Tony couldnt hurt him, so he went back to work, and we know what happened.

Eddie did good against Dimitrenko, but Wladimir is levels above Dimitrenko, in terms of opposition, experience and pretty much everything else.

Chambers sounds like he got his head on straight.

Chris went into this fight all wrong...He had to jab coming in...
he also would've gotten a little farther had he thrown that right hand over the top.

Chambers the last hope for USA HW?

I like Fast Eddie a lot. I think he has a chance to win. He is very difficult to hit cleanly. I compare him a bit to a prime Chris Byrd but I think Eddie is even better defensively, a bit quicker and he hits with more authority.

Not a chance in ****ing hell he can beat Vitali. He can say he can get inside and do work but he ain't doing ****.

And with no power, he's DEFINITELY not beating Wlad. Once Wlad punches through hif ******ed Winky Wright wanna be defense, he's going to do nothing but retreat.
