Rehydration and the weight isn’t what affected his fight IQ and not what made him quit. That was tank and him having no heart.

Anyone that says rehydration and weight cutting doesn’t matter is an absolute simpleton idiota that has no business discussing boxeo

Oscar did make the right recommendation, but Ryan knows better! Oscar needs to stop talking about Hearn and Canelo, because a) Canelo left him, b) Ryan Garcia nowhere near Canelo level, c) He just admitted he can't control his current cash cow!

Bernard Hopkins basically said the same thing!

A tune up fight might have helped Garcia. He could had been sharper and learned a thing or two, not only skill wise but also mentally. Not to say that he would had beaten Tank but after the knockdown he looked lost.

Wouldnt have made a difference. He was there to cash out. We learned the difference between full time fighters and part time fighters in this fight

I think he knew if he postponed the Davis fight because of the rib injury, he'd have a tougher time with the weight drain later. It's unfortunate that he lost with the rib shot. But this might be a wake up call to let other smarter people have a say in the training and logistics of his fighting. #1 work on defense. Goosen is a little weak on defense advise. But Garcia clearly does not listen well. Garcia is good but needs to listen more. Plan his fighting better. Davis out did him on that.

You know Oscar is starting to sound like Ryan with all of the different excuse's, that their coming up for the knockout loss.
The fact of the matter is that he should've taken the tune up fight, but up wasn't going to make up a bit of difference.
Tank was going to knock him out no matter what, what's even worse is that everyone is going to tear into Ryan's body now.
Believing that it's his Achilles Heel, but only the most prolific puncher's, or precision punching boxer's will be able to score a knockout like that.
His opponent's will also have to bear in mind that, he'll be trying to score a knockout against them as well, so it's an easier said than done type of thing.

I think that Kenneth Sims and Batyr Akhmedov would break Ryan!
