    Kenny Bayless.

He will give a point to Haney for per hugging.

I think we can safely say that Tony Weeks won't be involved. Jack Reiss just refereed the main event for Top Rank, so maybe that's a good sign if he's available. But of all the referees there are, I'm going to scream if it's Kenny Bayless.

And what's going on with the weigh-in? I'm worried that it might be one of those special weigh-ins like Lopez had when he fought Kambosos. You know, where you weigh-in the night or early in the morning before the actual weigh-in, and then it's just perfunctory getting on the scales at the broadcast weigh-in. I suppose we'll know if Haney comes in this time and doesn't look like a corpse. If he looks weigh better than he did for Kambosos, then I'm probably not going to watch the fight.

If anyone has any info on this, please share.
Just say It isn't so, please! No Bayless and no Weeks ever!

This is why we watch the fights. Haney may win legit. But if the ref allows excessive clinching and it causes the win, then the win is not legit. Simple as. Like say if Lomachenko targets Haney's testicles and the ref doesn't intervene. Over and over until Haney can't stand up straight and then KOs him with an uppercut to the chin that is now hanging out front because Devin can no longer stand up straight. That would be illegitimate as well. Wouldn't it?

If it's Bayless, we'll know the fix is in.

Stop it. That sounds like over exaggerating what happened in case Loma loses. This is what I’m pushing back against.

What you posted is a far fetched generalization that had never happened in the history of the sport.

There will be holding and there will be dirty stuff. Its a pro fight. always happens. If a boxer cant adapt to that its not the ref.

Many posters on this site spent years encouraging lesser skilled fighters to do whatever it took, even fighting dirty, to win.

Now it’s suddenly not the thing?

I just hate all the premature excuse making that has been done for this fight by people who are afraid Loma will lose.

Yeah ... the context is that if Haney cheats, the he wins. lol! How do you like that context?

I read your comments, and you're saying there's nothing wrong with clinching. But what Haney does isn't clinching. It's called "holding." There's a difference between "clinching" and "holding." What Haney does 90 percent of the time is called "holding." And "holding" when it's excessive is considered a foul and demands a point deduction. If Bayless is the ref, then not only is he not going to give a point deduction but he's going to all the taller, longer boxer the ability to get back on the outside (with the ref's help) and force Loma to have to close the gap on repeat. So effectively, the ref is also fighting, and he's fighting for the other guy, Haney. It creates a vicious cycle where Loma gets close, Haney tackles him, then the ref separates them, ad infinitum. Along the way, Loma might eat a couple jabs.

The other issue is the weigh in. If Haney gets that special weigh in were it's not at 2 pm on Friday but at at 7 a.m. in the morning, then that's against the rules. Haney will come in the ring at 170 with a near 48 hour period to rehydrate. That's bull**** and that's also cheating. He did that for JoJo Diaz and Teofimo Lopez did that for Kambosos.

So let's cut the ****. Bill Haney is going to try to make sure his son has every single advantage he possible can, even if it means cheating.

And after all of that, watch Haney STILL STINK THE JOINT OUT! If he starts that hugging bull****, people are going to watch something else. They won't even wait until the sixth round.

And I do have Loma winning, provided that the ref is someone like Jack Reiss (PLEASE LORD LET IT BE JACK!) and they have a proper 24 jour weigh in. We know Haney struggles to make weight. We know what he looks like when he makes weight properly. If he doesn't look like a zombie this time around, then we'll all know that something shenanigans are afoot and how the fight will likely go.

Fighting is about probabilities. If Haney is 160 to 170 in the ring and has a ref that will let him bear hug Loma all night, then it's not just conjecture that Haney will win that fight unless some miracle happens for Loma.

Yes. 1,000 percent the fix is in. Haney will have ALL THE ODDS stacked in his favor. Who the **** is Bill Haney anyway? How does he have so much clout in the boxing world? He's a damn fool.

Egis Klimas seems to have more sway, at least you'd think so. He should be advocating to get a ref in there that will let it be a pro boxing match, not an amateur fight like Kenny Bayless would make it.

The last thing I want to see is Devin Haney fight scared for 12 rounds. That's the LAST thing I want to see. I remember when Floyd fought Manny that way, and do you recall what Floyd's father said to him? He said: "Floyd ... man ... why are you fighting him scared?"

We all know what it is. It's a guy who doesn't know how to fight on the inside without getting wobbled, so he fights scared now by holding the opponents, trying to pin their arms down so he can try to get a few illegal punches in. It's bull****.

I've been calling it bull**** for years now, since Linares.

Speaking of which, that's another piece of **** that needs to stay away from this fight. Russell Mora. He's another guy that that lets people hold and hold. He let Haney hold and hold against Linares, but when Loma fought Lopez, he broke them up straight away. That was something I noticed about that fight. I remember Loma looking at Mora confused, as if asking, why are you doing this.

I'm no fan of either guy but Loma fans better hope he stops or shutout Haney because I can guarantee Loma will not get a decision win over a black fighter in this day age.

Anything short of a 120-110 type fight and loma getting robbed.

Keep I mind bruthas go into fights with 3-4 rds in the bag before the bell even rings.
