Zhanibek vs. Butler. Referee Jack Reiss really should have stopped it sooner.

I just got a chance to watch the fight today. An intriguing 2 rounds. It looked like Zhanibek wanted to redeem himself for the Bentley fight and did not wait around to get aggressive.

Now what the hell was Jack Reiss thinking letting the fight continue? When he paused the fight to warn Butler to stop holding in what should have been ruled as the second knockdown, it was clear Butler was out of it. Fight should have been stopped right there. That was a lot of unnecessary damage that Butler took.

If Jack stops this, he also should've stopped Wilder vs Fury 1 after the 2nd knockdown

Naw his corner should have stopped it. Reiss is the best. He actually lets fighters fight instead of stopping it too early

I agree. Corner as well and definitely should have.

          reiss saved Fury's career.

Fury was flat on his black with his eyes closed at the count of 5. Bayliss would've called it for sure.

*Butler goes down for the 8th time*
            Reiss: OK, walk towards me
*Butler tries to walk in a straight line but instead staggers sideways, falls through the ropes, cracking his head open on the floor outside the ring*
Reiss: OK you look fine, continue
