Actually, yes. That's the main reason he gets knockouts. He lures you into a false sense, he waits for an opening while you're mid-throw, then BOOM.

The reason a lot of boxing cliches live on is because basically they are true. The last thing a man loses is his punch. I'm happy to believe Rolly that even an ancient, battered, dissipated Barroso can hit like one MoFo. A better question is whether anyone that wants to be a contender should be getting jarred by an ancient, battered, dissipated Barroso. I gotta say no, a young contender shouldn't be having so many problems from a man old enough to be a grandad.

Certainly, but Tank's best shots on him were when Gamboa was trying to get in to do damage. Just like all the rest.

It's like Tank knows to look for the fundamentals of distance closing and then bank on check shots to take you out.

I can't recall a single opponent that he's iced at range when they weren't mid-throw. Not one. Think like Roy Jones vs. Glen Johnson.
