Crawford vs. Brook. Championship fight. Tony Weeks reffing.

Brook was still lucid and could have continued.

Crawford and NSB said it was a "good stoppage" because Bud "would have knocked him out anyway".

When a ref thinks like that it is a real slight on the rules. A ref is supposed to use criteria for a stoppage, not what he/she thinks. When a fighter is not fighting back is the criteria.

He got this far with Dodgy decision and corrupt referees. Weeks did not want to Rolly lose so stop the fight at the first instance

          - Business First
          - Sport Second

There was an agenda and if you got and spend that money you need to get the job done no matter what.

There's an elephant in the room but once again it's going to be thrown under the rug. Corruption in boxing is still alive and well. Shoot, that crooked Adalaide Byrd was sitting front row. I like Rollies but I think they saw him struggling and had to find the right time to stop the fight. I'm not saying Barroso would have fun but Rollies and him were starting to engage more in those final minutes. A knockout was coming for either fighter. I think the business side of boxing made the decision to save the more marketable fighter from potentially losing. Again, not saying which fighter would have won or lost in the end, but I do think that they saw Rollies in a tougher fight than they expected, and pulled the trigger to save him. Sucks because now he looks bad and it's not even his fault.

That was as dirty a thing as I've seen in a lifetime of watching fights. I'm 55. This needs investigating by agencies outside of boxing. How pathetic. Tony Weeks should be ashamed of himself.

surprised the judges had barroso up, remember rolly vs jackson marinez? marinez clearly won but they gifted rolly the fight so why not just do that again?

Rolly has gotten a lot farther in boxing than his skill or talent would dictate. It's solely his charisma and skill at trash talking that have gotten him anywhere. Good for him , he's smart enough to use what he's got. Both him and his corner are trash as far as boxing goes. How in the hell were they telling him that he was doing great when he was getting in a good 4 miles of running each round. He should have given that belt to Barroso and left the ring last night.
