First of all, Romero shouldn’t have even been fighting for a vacant title. He got iced in his last fight, hasn’t won since July 2021 and hasn’t even fought at 140 before.

Then 40 year old Barroso puts him down early and is clearly ahead in the fight and Tony f***ing Weeks jumps in with one of the worst stoppages I’ve ever seen. Barroso is literally throwing back.

I agree. Historically, Tony Weeks has always been a very inept and incompetent referee. He has leanings and tendencies of allowing fighters to bend the rules too much. For example: That knockdown should have been a ruled a slip. Rolly pulled Ismael Barroso behind the neck to the canvas with an open glove which is technically illegal.
