To be fair to Tony Weeks, he probably felt scared for Barroso. Being as old as he is it was scary seeing him the ring even dodging punches. I legitimately felt bad when he got knocked down

How did you feel for the 27 year old Romero when he was getting busted up by the 40 yr old?

Just to be clear. I do not blame Romero. He is just a guy trying to make a buck. I also think that he is not a top 20 Jr Welter, much less Champion material. These Corrupt Refs, Promoters, and Commissions are going to get him, and other lower tier fighters fighting at a level that they do not belong in, seriously hurt. This is the real back eye for the sport. You can argue that GGG beat Canelo, or vice versa, but they belonged in the ring together. Romero does not belong with the other Champions, or even top contenders. He is going to get hurt in there, and his people do not care.

I get where you’re coming from but what I think is a bigger injustice is the journeymen who people like Romero were knocking the f out on the way up. Those guys were getting paid probably 2-3% of what Romero will be to get knocked out challenging for a championship. Then they go back to their full time job and get knocked out again next time they’re allowed in the ring.

Utterly shameful. They set the old man up as a patsy to gift Romero a belt he didn't earn, but Barroso came to win and they robbed him blind in front of the whole world.

This was the worst stoppage i have seen in a very long time. I hope this fight, and Weeks are investigated. Should be overturned. Romero is entertaining, but not a good fighter at all. Ryan Garcia will knock him spark out. Any top 20 fighter will. I am disgusted with the sport right now. I love this sport, and have followed it for over 40 years. But travesties like this is why people are never going to trust that this sport is going to treat the fighters right when they deserve to win, or the chance to win. Weeks saw Romero losing, and was instructed to end it in Romero's favor as soon as possible. I hope they do the right thing, and ban Weeks, and overturn this travesty.

He did the same thing in ward kovalev. It was so obvious he was just there to make sure ward won. He let him hold and wrestle nonstop then stopped it when ward hit kovalev with clear low blows. He has no shame or dignity. He's a ********** who will do what the highest bidder wants.

Will this prompt an investigation into weeks and an overturn of the ward kovalev result where weeks stopped the fight after ward low blows kovalev over and over? Now we know he was just there to find a way to make sure ward won because kovalev kicked his azz in the first fight. Same exact thing. We need to check all his bank accounts
