No he doesnt have the best defence against speepy fighters with his lack of head movement and low left. But he almost makes up for it with his offence, the best form of defence! hence the KO!! thats why the fight was just about level at the end!!!

how's the pressure on abraham.....dude is a MW, moving up to compete in a SMW tourney....he loses, he can always go back down.

if taylor loses, his career is basically over. the pressure's all on taylor, IMO. the fact that he's saying the pressure is on the other guy, to me, shows no sense of urgency, and i don't like where taylor is headed.

The fight will be on tape delay in the US...it's going to start around 11 pm CET.

For the tactics: IMO, Taylor is absolutely confident that AA will fight as he always did...though, there are some differences in AA's strategy in some fights and this is also gotta be one of those where he isn't going to strictly stand on front of his opponent to have 'em pound on his defence. AA is more than likely to apply the plan he used at the beginning of the first Miranda fight with some adjustments...1.using his legs (same as he did in the rematch but not as much), 2.lateral movement (going to be the key in the mid rounds for him), 3. working the body.
Strategy-wise he'll let Taylor make the fight for at least 2-3 rounds, to 1. feel out his power, 2.studying his movement to try timing him later, 3. make Tylor feel comfortable.
No.3 will be the most crucial b/c AA thinks that Taylor will think he won't get a fair shake on the scorecards (even more so with rounds passing by JT will think about it) and therefore is going to get careless just to put Abraham down at least once. And this is the time were AA' studies of Taylor's movement will come into play as he's trying to time him.

That's the whole plan by AA, IMHO...Cheers...

Did Abraham acctual say that, or is that your opinion also?

I agree with Taylor. A few number of people I've seen are picking Abraham after Kessler to win it. Taylor really has nothing to lose and is being written off by many, many people. Hopefully he fights relaxed for a change.

I picked up on him from the beginning of his pro career and know the strategic repertoire of his coach very well...both know that their bog standard strategy won't even bring them close to win this fight.

Btw, one thing that speaks against Taylor (from my point of view) is that he's a one-paced man - he just don't know how to change the rhythm of a fight...he's either punching till he tires or a passive counter-puncher. For prove, watch the fight vs. Spinks and Froch. And if he thinks he got a fight in the bag he gets even more passive like he did vs. Ouma and can't get into 2nd gear again from this point on.

Don't worry Tom, I know Taylor's weaknesses, I've watched him long enough.

That's the problem with Taylor. He fights in a tense and nervous manner. I think Allan Green was on the money about his performance in the Froch fight; he essentially fought to keep him off him. Once he stopped jabbing and started to tire in the fight, around the 7th round, things went down hill.

The pressure is on JT too.

If he losses his career is going to a halt.

                      His "thrown"?

Anyways, it's true. Most people have written Jermain Taylor off.
