Hide was undefeated and WBO champion also a huge money fight for Lewis
Hide was not a "huge money" fight for Lewis. Practically no one knew who Herbie was because all of his fights were televised on Eurosport. Which gives you some kind of indication of his quality at HW (below he is a fine competitor).

Roy Jones looked `unbeatable` back in 2000, he was calling out Holyfield, Tyson and Lewis, yet when he defeated Ruiz at heavyweight Lewis wanted nothing to do with Super-Roy.... no matter how much money he was offered
Roy Jones might have called out the moon, that doesn't mean he had any plans to fight it. Lewis didn't duck Jones. He paid him the ultimate respect of NOT fighting him (probably because they got on pretty well back then). Lewis, Jones and anyone who had half a brain knew back then that Roy was hitting the canvas immediately after the first Lewis bomb arrived. And it would have been a BAD KO. Probably a career ender.

Hey, I'm not defending his actions after the fight. He was right to retire if his heart wasn't in it - but he could have shown Vitali (who seems a pretty decent guy) a bit more consideration. Although it's fair to say that whenever a "big name" champ retires the guy immediately below curses his luck and rotten timing.

Lewis definitely ranks higher than both Klits.

            Is this a joke thread?
Lewis is top 10 ATG Heavyweight, he beat a prime Vitali (the better brother) when he was old fat and past prime.
Look at his resume, he avenged all losses too, he could slug it out warrior style but also box extremely smartly, he had everything a Heavyweight champ needed.

I have to give Lewis his due here he is an ATG HW for sure. As for Wlad and Vitali, their careers cannot fully be understood in a boxing historical context until they are both retired.

                  Lennox Lewis...obviously..

I disagree with the Vitali voters, but I can somewhat distantly remotely see their point of view...

What I want to know is: who the hell voted Wlad? lol

I really believe Lewis was a steroid abuser. Just look at the footage of him in his first maybe four years as a pro-he wasn't nearly as muscular as he later became. You think that was all done with weightlifting??Lol! As a matter of fact, in the start of his career he was somewhat skinny even!
Lewis may or may not have used steroids but Vitali did.

Look at how skinny he was at the beginning of his career...
