Poor judgement from Ben , who should have said this was the situation a while back . We are used to Hearn talking bollocks but normally Bens up front talking sets him apart but he's dropped the ball here and needs to justify himself betterComment

Why would they push for Clarke's mandatory shot at Wardley's British title if they had no intention of going through with the fight? This is the first major blunder by Boxxer and Shalom, I'm sure there will be many more to come. It's hard to believe but Eddie Hearn is coming out of this looking like the good guy. It sounds like they intentionally sabotaged the fight and had no intention of going through with the purse bid from the beginning just to annoy Matchroom and Hearn. Boxxer should definitely be penalized or at least made to pay for the time that was wasted by Wardley preparing for the fight.Comment

Its a domestic title, some of the best British boxers ever didn't care about that. They went in, took their challenger percentage and did the job. Its how you build your profile.
Clarke is an A side against Hungarian Uber drivers, nobody else.

Clarke was ordered to fight Wardley. You couldn’t reach an agreeable deal with Wardley so a purse bid had to happen.
And whoever offers the most money in the purse bid gets to put on the fight. That’s how boxing is supposed to work, you don’t get to take your ball and go home just because you might lose the purse bid.
There should be a harsh punishment for doing that. It’s ruining the sport and robbing the fans of good fights.Comment
