Quite unlikely, many might temporarily bandwagon on certain fighters, but if they lose at some point or beat a recognizable native born mexican fighter, they will jump ship.
When it comes to Mexican fighters, whether they win or lose, they will still be quite loyal to them.
I mean, currently there is:
Juan Francisco Estrada
Canelo Alvarez
Mauricio Lara
Isaac Cruz
Emmanuel Navarrete
Luis Alberto Lopez
They all lost at some point, yet they are quite well received. Thus it pushed them to improve and become world champions
If Benavidez, Ortiz or Rodriguez lose they will be considered hypejobs like Ruiz, Garcia and Ramirez.
It depends on who you speak to. I do support Mexican American fighters, but the past few years they have had a huge drop in quality in my opinion.
In the real world I have love for all Mexicans, regardless of where you are born. In the boxing world, Mexican fans and Mexican Americans fans are completely different....which is why I feel the Mexican American fighters have been declining. Mexican American fans pampered there fighters to the point where they make excuses on why big/competitive fights SHOULDN'T get made, and many Mexican Americans fighters (in my opinion) have capitalized on this. In Mexico, you have to earn the fans respect....they aren't going to just go out to bat for you if you haven't earned it.
For example lets look at the 2 biggest Mexican American names in recent years....Mikey Garcia and Leo Santa Cruz. Both 4 weight division champions who never actually gave the fans any fights they want to see or challenged themselves. Even Canelo has recognized this and has catered himself to the MExican Americans fans in the past decade because of how lucrative it is and not as demanding.

I mean Canelo waited how many years for the GGG trilogy? Canelo seems to not want to fight Benavidez, he got busted for tainted meat. Canelo seems pretty pampered too tbh

Re-read my comment. I edited as soon as I posted because I forgot to mention Canelo.
And also the Canelo vs Benavidez is something completely unique. Everyone in Mexico is calling for that fight and Benavidez actually has a lot of support.
