Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez: I Don't Think Devin Got That Dog In Him To Beat Lomachenko

Teofimo Lopez likes Devin Haney's jab and believes his rival's conditioning has served Haney well. Lopez just doesn't think the undefeated, fully unified lightweight champion has enough "dog" in him to beat Vasiliy Lomachenko. Haney (29-0, 15 KOs) is slightly favored to beat Lomachenko (17-2, 11 KOs) on May 20 at MGM Grand

“The only reason why I say it is just the punch IQ that this man throws and what he does. He’ll get you tired. Even though Devin has the conditioning for it, you gotta commit. You can’t just, you can’t play defense with Loma. You can’t play defense with Loma. You can’t. You gotta attack [by] all means necessary, and I don’t think Devin got that dog in him to do it.” - Teofimo Lopez

Even though Teo has been off his meds recently, I agree with him on that point! 100%

This is nothing more than sour g****s by Teofimo Lopez. This is just your prototypical man who let the world slip through his hands and now he couldn't be more bitter about it.

Leaving Top Rank to fight George Kambosos on DAZN was a mistake. Eddie Hearn set up him up to fail by bringing in Devin Haney and his father to badger him prior to the Kambosos fight.

He lost focused and as a result of it has not been the same fighter since.

This is funny coming from Lopez, because you had the chance to fight a guy with "NO" dog in him for full undisputed but you chose to fight Kambosas. GK changed your life now you sound like a bitter EX, DH is coming to 140 in a year or so just be ready to fight and not duck then.

How can he give the type of advice when he didn't exactly follow the same advice himself? He didn't have any dog in him either. He fought scared against Loma. He never pressed or took any risks against Loma either. Loma had to bring the fight to him in order for him to open up.

He only won because Hi-Rech spotted him the first seven rounds. However, I do agree with the overall premise. At some point Devin is going to have to come out of his comfort zone and back Loma up and walk him down in order to decisively win this fight.

Teofimo is a 1-trick pony that went life and death with a guy devin played with very consistently twice. Stay mad clown.

If I am wrong. Then show me where I am wrong. Prove it! You can't because it's fact, proof, truth and history.

Is that your honest opinion about the up coming fight, or is it simply your wishful thinking on the outcome of Haney vs Lomachencko fight?
Believeing that if Lomachencko defeat's Haney, that the fan's won't stress you anymore about ducking Haney in the past, or fighting him in the future.
It's ironic that you should say that abuot that particular fight, because I don't think you have the dog to beat Taylor.
I think that Kambosos not only beat the dog out of you, but the cat, rat, and almost the tat's out of you.
If you avoided fighting Haney all this time, and you did, you shouldn't be so interested and in a hurry in mentioning his up coming fight, or questioning his heart.
