I think he would definitely go for it at 168, because he then takes away all of canelo's excuses by proving he's the better fighter at either weight. He's already proven it at 175.

But if canelos wins? Absolutely no credit whatsoever...he weight drained him!...168 is not bivols division! These are the type comments you'll read post fight.

Cinnabon should just stay at this weight, he already won belt at 175 and has combined rec of 1-1 at lhw ...nothing else to prove imo.

I don't believe Bivol loses to Canelo at 168, but if he did you are right about many of the post-fight comments.

Well, yeah, Canelo is the only boxer in the field that can pick any fight he wants. Gervonta can't even do that and he's the next biggest brand.

            Bivol doesn't want to fight?

Canelo can pick Benavidez, Morrell. Hell, could even choose Charlo or Munguia and have them move up to 168 for it.

He could even throw Andrade a bone and move him up to 168 just to spite Benavidez. .

I think Andrade will be the last to get the call of anyone. Canelo really seems to dislike him.

If Canelo wants to duck the big threats, I would expect him to go after Charlo, since Charlo is gonna have rust bad, and no way does he turn down a Canelo money fight even on short notice with no tuneup.

If he's really serious about no Mexicans, even though Benavidez isn't one, then there should be no issues facing the Cuban Morrell Jr.

At this point now that he's disposed of Ryder, there's nobody else other than Beterbiev that's reasonable to fight for legacy. Beterbiev might honestly be the best fight for him if he really wants the rematch, because if he could win that (which I'm not seeing) then he's got all the belts that Bivol wants at 175, and he could probably convince Sulaiman to make an exception.

Charla and Doo Doo are garbage, straight up garbage. You know it and everyone knows it. Stop acting dumb. There's a reason those two bums haven't fought in almost two years.

Benavidez is the only one that has a slight chance at beating Canelo.

Benavidez was saved by Plant’s lack of power. Plant basically went 12 based on his skills, and Benavidez lack of skills. But lost due to having no power, and being outgunned.

Sorry, be real. I can be real with Canelo and what he is, what he’s not, who he can beat, who he can’t beat. I can be honest.

Benavidez surprised a lot of people with how bad he did vs Plant. Hell, even his rival, Canelo, predicted an easy KO for Benavidez. Instead we saw damn near every flaw of Benavidez on display. Same flaws he showed vs Gavril in 2017. People said those flaws were gone. They ALL still there. Lucky for him he at least outgunned Plant. His firepower saved him. He’s going to need more than that at the elite level. He looked downright silly in there in many rounds.
Canelo is nowhere near how elusive and quick footed Caleb Plant is, he will be there all night to get hit by Benavidez who will outwork and drown Canelo in the second half of the fight. Amazed how we don’t know that Canelo is cement footed, work rate is low and fades late in fights where Benavidez thrives and gets stronger.

Canelo will get stopped and he doesn’t want to go out like that because that “king” crap will be put to sleep.
