Under normal circumstances i could and can see Hatton beating JMM. But we are in unknown territory with Hatton right now.
Had an awfully long layoff with uncertainty. PBF had a layoff as well. But i doubt Hatton keeps in shape in between as much as PBF, or knows how to.

But if Hatton did decide to fight him, it would still be competitive but i dont know if Hatton has given himself his best chance to beat JMM.

Ricky fighting a guy that basically beat Pacquiao? Who annihilated his legacy in under six minutes? Get ****in real.

If Ricky fights again, it'll be a competitive but winnable fight in Manchester against the likes of Juan Diaz or even a rematch with Paulie Malignaggi.

I'm not saying I don't want to see it. It would be interesting at 140 and very interesting at 147, but I dont see Hatton taking the risk.

The only reason I see him taking the fight is that defeating Marquez would restore his career and bring interest in more fights, but I don't think he even wants that.

I can see why Juan wants it; a win against Kastidis or John doesnt mean **** compared to a win against Hatton.

....but this is one fight that's only going to happen on the boxing scene forums.

its nothing to do with the fact that people think JMM beat pac. a hatton v JMM fight is very winnable for both fighters. its a 50/50 fight. the reason it wont happen is because hatton is taking a break from the sport. altho having said that, im sure i read that marquez is taking the rest of this year off so you never know, we could see it in the early - middle of 2010. from hattons point of view its a dream fight after getting blasted in 2. to have the p4p number 5 wanting to fight you after that defeat is very lucky for hatton IMO. If he does come back then there wont be a better calibre fight out there for him than marquez.

I don't think it'll happen. Hatton may not fight again. If they do fight, JMM by TKO.
