Bivol is awesome, but i rather see him fight at 168 against Benevidez.

I saw the fight last night with Canelo and think he lacked movement and volume of punches thrown. Canelo was a better fighter at 154lbs and 160lbs when he was lighter. The added weight with his small frame hasn't helped him especially as he aged. With the low volume of punches that Canelo thrown last night, if he were to fight Bivol, he would lose easily. Bivol has much much better movement and boxing fundamentals than Canelo. Canelo likes to throw hard punches to his opponent's arms and wear them down so they can't lift their arms as the fight progresses. This strategy didn't work with Bivol and it costed him the fight. To beat Bivol, he would need good movement, jab more, stick and move and be elusive. This isn't how Canelo fights. Bivol will jab Canelo hard, use good ring movement, box and take the fight into the late rounds and he could possibly stop Canelo. Canelo has this belief in his power that he could just hit people a few times and they do down. In lighter weight divisions he could get away with that but guys at 168lbs and 175lbs not so much. Canelo has a better frame for a 154 or 160lb fighter not 168 or 175lbs. Beating Kovalev at 175lbs years ago who was wayyy past his best gave him misguided self belief in his power.

I think Canelo is still a good fighter but needs to drop down to 154 or 160lbs which would do a lot for his conditioning which could help him more as he ages.

There you go. Bivol is next. Hope to see guys like Benavidez and Charlo stop waiting for him.

My guy Canelo only won 2-3 rounds against Bivol and all 3 judges had it 115-113 Bivol. How in the world can you call me a hater when they tried to rob Bivol in a fight that he made Canelo look silly in??

Don’t get upset that you’re a Canelo man fan and true boxing fans give true observations and you can’t take it.

Yes, I see, you rather lose another decision to Bivol than your belts to Benavidez. I understand, Saul.

Canelo can't make 160 anymore and certainly can't make 154. He's a full fledged 168lber. His conditioning would be even worse having to cut that much weight, especially at his age and with how many miles he has on him.

Same terms? Bivol doesn't get a raise for beating him last time? Yes, I know it's bigger money that he can get elsewhere. However, I'd make Canelo sweeten the pot. How bad does he really want the fight if he's just offering the same terms? Bivol is already a millionaire. He already beat Canelo.
