I think Canelo is so afraid to lose by knockout to Benavidez, Charlo, Munguia, or Andrade, that he is willing to accept a loss by decision against Bivol. In watching the Bivol fight, Canelo's punches seemed ineffective, and he seemed very discouraged in a couple of rounds - like he would've given up had it not been for his corner rallying for him to continue to fight back. From what I saw, Canelo can't beat Bivol. While he won't get knocked out by Bivol, he won't win. He seems very willing to collect a huge paycheck to lose by decision.

He's really doing coward things by avoiding the fight core fans want to see. He may as well retire...... Retirement does seem close for Canelo.

You always know when you tune in to a Canelo thread, you expect to see the same core of users that always spew salty comments no matter the nature of the story, sadly it has race element to it. These are the same ones that were saying Bivol 1 was a cherry pick over Jermall freaking Charlo who has been the biggest lame in boxing the last few years. Canelo vs Bivol 2 is a great fight. At least, you all now know it's a challenge for Canelo. If you don't like it, don't watch it. That simple. Canelo calls his shots similar to same way Floyd did and no moaning and griping from you all then with the caliber of fighters he chose to fight then. Benavidez is an option for Canelo next year. The man already set out his plan for the year, I don't get why that is hard to understand.

Flat-footed vs fleet-footed; wide thumps vs straight combos. Same everything with the same result, aside from a stronger word in the judges' ears.

Me too. I think there are more entertaining fights to be made. I certainly am not going to pay for a PPV rematch w Bivol.

More interesting if Canelo fights Bivol at 168 but bigger risk for Canelo to lose belts.

Place your bets early on Bivol by stoppage. Why? Bivol himself has said that beating Alvarez didn’t get him where he feels he should’ve gone career and pay wise so logically the alternative is to go for a stoppage to really put eyes on him. If anyone has the tools to stop Canelo it’s Bivol when he gets in his mean streak which he has, think he didn’t show it in the first fight but that was so easy for him I expect him to go for the homerun next go round.

All the redballs fanboys coming out of the woodwork wanting him to drain Bivol. Look the fix is in already so don't worry. That's why Bivol should stay far away from this fight or go for the KO..

Bivol would be ****** to rematch Canelo because at least 2 judges will have 5 rounds scored for Canelo before the start of round 1 and then give him enough rounds to win, despite Bivol clearly winning the fight.
