Why would he do that? Well it's what he's always done - why would we expect he'll do anything else? He's not in a position where he needs to take a risky fight.

Fury will fight who he wants to fight. If someone wants to fight him, they need to target the WBC mandatory.
Well yes, Fury will jump back and forth stating 'I will fight this guy, or that guy'.

Before Zhang, Fury was getting credit for merely only stating that he would fight Joyce.

And I am aware that his team or whoever coming out and mentioning Zhang? Is Team Fury running that same sociopolitical game.

Which his hardcore fans seem to really enjoy, and go mad crazy about.

It is unprecedented mate, I have never seen it before. Never ever has a active fighter received so much credit for beating fighters he has never fought.

90% of the entire Heavyweight division is written off, and not worthy of a title fight according to certain Team Fury members.

Note: But regarding the public pressure, I do think this type of pressure is a new experience for Tyson Fury. I know Fury is really smart in terms of building narratives and playing sociopolitical games, but I think it could back fire if? He does not fight a good solid world level opponent next 'Fury's loyal fans the fans with a conscience are understanding that they are being betrayed'.

But you are right, Fury really right now does not really need to fight any big fights. What I am wondering is? If he does not fight one of his nearest genuine rivals next, how big can he expect his next fight to be 'I think Fury overrates his drawing power' etc.

I hear what you're saying, but It begs the question: Is Joshua really that bad, or is Usyk really that good? I mean, Usyk dominated the LHW division and AJ was KOing just about everyone before Ruiz and was the unified HW champ.

I think fury will fancy zhang as he's 40 years old. That's why he'd prefer Zhang over Ruiz. I don't think fury thinks a 40 year old can best him. Wlad couldn't do it, so this giant shouldn't be able to.

Are you a boxing fan or a philosopher?

Why would he do this, why would he do that...because he is a world champ and he is expected to fight top contenders.

Moot point. Since last August Hrgovic hasn't had a fight and Zhang cracked the elite top five. Outgunned the "Next big thing" Joe Joyce. Realized his potential, and is in talks for a quarter billion dollar promotion in Machu. Most PPV buyers of any active heavyweight fighters....etc.

                Levels.

Translation = Joshua edged Joyce/Whyte victim Parker, fought a life & death battle with 50 year old and retired Klitschko, beat a couple Wladimir era leftovers in Povetkin and Pulev, had a struggle with then half-baked prospect Whyte and....Charles Martin. I'm half kidding. I hope we all are! It's an arguious journey to the top 20 in boxing. One that 4,467 active MMA pros, tough guys themselves, decided they weren't good enough to even attempt when they decided to kick, grapple and get brain bashings for no money instead.

Moot points. They have nothing to do with Zhang losing a close fight to Filip.

it don't matter if flip has official win over zhang. Everyone's got eyes and brain and can see for themselves, and don't need to trust 3 judges.
So flip having official win don't mean flip would be ranked or rated higher. At worst for Zhang he maybe rated lower h2h to flip, but Zhang can still be ranked higher than flip as he beat joyce. All flip has over Zhang is a controversial win.
Flip might say he had off night, but with Zhang beating Joyce, Zhang is within his right to claim he was one who had off night against flip and Forrest.
