Huge credit to Ryder, he's got a big heart. The man survived 12 rounds with Canelo after taking a beating, inside an 18 foot ring, in Mexico.
You got that right...and with a bleeding nose/mouth since early rounds...that takes 'huevos'.

I thought the same thing. I never saw a ring that small. Did that have something to do with it being in Mexico?

It was a clear Canelo win, but I thought it was closer on the scorecards. Ryder won 2 or 3 rds. He was hitting Canelo with clean uppercuts and hooks on the inside.

Surprisingly, some of Ryders best work was done on the inside. But that goes to show you how similar they were in size.

Everyone was picking a Canelo KO, but they forgot that Canelo’s not some monster one punch KO artist. He has power, but he doesn’t have devastating game changing power like people pretend he does. Most of his KOs came against smaller boxers and he was going against someone his size. I knew this was going the distance.

But But he stopped plant while Benavidez couldn't.

            Canelo 12-0 easily.

See some fighters just come to survive making it very difficult to stop them. Ryder was proud of just going 12.

All those guys have struggled, lost rds or been hurts by far lesser comp than Ryder.
Canelo been fighting since he was 15. Those other guys haven't

They've either been dropped, hurt badly or trailing on points against lesser guys than Ryder.

Oh ok but I get it it's standards right yes different standards for different guys..

Canelo has a helluva chin, which makes him appear alot better than he is. He was a top guy a few years ago, but his stamina is gone these days ( a telltale sign of alot of PED use when he was younger) and his defense is still ok but not what it used to be. And his power was always overrated, he never knocks really good fighters out, only the middle tier or faded guys.

He was very good, but boxing needed a "face of boxing", he was promoted as that face, and he got a few gift decisions along the way to build that mystique. He should have two losses to GGG.

He is fading fast. Benavidez would finish his career with a battering and Biev would ko him badly, and likely brain damage him as Canelo would take huge shots for multiple rounds. Bivol beats him badly again. I see Canelo retiring after another Bivol loss. His mystique is gone and he is nearing shot territory.

Why would canelo play defense against a guy who was target practice for him. Lol

Too many online "experts" here over analyzing ****. Canelo is fine still king beat the breakes off of a top 5 smw easily.

Ya make sure to bring that criticism when you're favorit fighter is getting dropped,, hurt or behind on the cards.
