He is the best. He doesn't need to fight Benavidez to actually prove he's the best, because he already knows he's the best. And he can't fight Benavidez because he is such a proud Mexican warrior that he doesn't like fighting other Mexicans because he doesn't want to make them look bad which would be sad for Mexico.

Hope he can improve his gas tank. He's not looked nearly as impressive in his last 3 fights. He's making mistakes and fighting worse now than he was. We'll see what the next move is for him.
