Fact's! But Ryder has to realize that he's still fighting a great fighter, and even worse in his own country, which idolizes him.
It's going to take everything that Ryder has in him, and then some to truly compete with his opponent, location, and the loyal fan's.
It's just to much to contend with, but this is boxing and many major upset's have been pulled off in boxing's history, under the same circumstance's.

I imagine we should go into this fight just like all of his fights in thinking that unless this dude just so happens to have the style that nullifies Canelo, Canelo figures him out and breaks him down by the 8th or so.
I am just not as exited about him anymore for some reason. Perhaps it is that so many of his fights in recent years have been against basically the same plain white guy over and over. I think we all want a true showdown.

I really do hope they come up with a good game plan and at least make it interesting for a few rounds

Ryder is just hoping that Canelo is fading ....... or he is just trying to hype the fight

That much is true. He does have a lot of wear and tear on his body. The mileage on his body's odometer is very high. He's slowly beginning to age. By the time he challenges the Benavidez', Charlo's, Morrell's and the Andrade's of the world his body is going to be to burned out.
