Shane didn't have to right forrest. Roy didn't have to fight tarver. Bhop didn't have to fight taylor. But they all manned up.

Well... who would you have him fight? The named fighters except pac with reasonable range of pbf is cotto and mosley. Would you have him fight Bhop,RJJ,Calzaghe ( so they can settle who is the greater undefeated fighter )? I do not care for those fights as they are really not plausible. It would be a show rather than a fight. As a fan, I would rather have him face Clottey/Williams than those named fighters.

What this means is, If you are on top You need to strike while your rod is hot.
And take advantage of every advantage you have, And do not take a cent less than what you are worth. Because at the end of the day, it is only you who is in the ring, and Boxing dont have social security or a health care plan to fall back on like other Professional sports leagues do.

So what they make now, is what they are going to have to live on when they are old. That is why risk vs. reward in boxing is so important.

Have you ever thought that this isn't all about Floyd , but also about his fans.
I think its about a fighter proving himself in equal terms. If they talk trash back it up, but with the truth, no silly games. If he does bravo, but times has flied by and its all the same sht.
