this is the most logical explanation I've heard but, seriously I just don't get it. If he doesn't want to fight any real WWs(that's where the $$ is), then WTF is he doing?

      What makes a real welterweight?
what are the qualities they must have?

To face WWs, he is currently waiting for the winner of Pacquiao vs Cotto.

He's taking the most easy and profitable fights he can get. He probably is the best welterweight so I don't see why he doesn't fight them.

Yup. never said they were not true. If there are no lineal champions in the divisions, who will you fight? If it were me, I would like it to be number 1 or number 2 rated WW's at the time. Who would you like pbf to fight now that there is no lineal past/present except himself? On a side note, I think pbf's real fight is within himself. Will he take the necesary risk to give us fans/himself a great fight?

There was a time in boxing when the lineal champ is Erdei ( I hope I got the name right ) and the Ring's champ is RJJ, who will you fight?

Erdei is still lineal champ you know.
Baldomir despite 1 win against 1 guy is actually probably his equal as far as lineals go.

Dumbasses, at this stage of the game where Floyd is the #1 draw and biggest star in boxing you don't think of fighting "by divisions" you think only in terms of what is the biggest fight out there for you. Floyd doesn't care about what divisions he only wants to make the biggest fights happen whether they're at 140 147 or 154 or wherever the hell else. Why do you think half of his recent few fights weren't even at 147. The JMM 1 was a catchweight and the Oscar one was at 154.

Money Mayweather is also a yatch magnate, he made billions of dollars upgrading yatch from 1 bedroom to a 4 bedroom yatch.

Its funny on how some people have more faith in Floyd than he has in himself. If floyd thought he could beat the Welter Weights he be doing that and showing what a monster he is. Hey, if he thought he was Ali he be fighting Paul Williams just like Ali fought George Foreman. But he wont fight the champion Mosley not because of the past, but because of what Mosley done in the present.
