Unfortunately his handlers don't feel the same way. You know, the same management that turned a Crawford title shot down for ortiz, and a Zhanibek title shot down for Munguia.
We get it, Shakur at this stage is high risk, no belt..but had Zepeda taken that fight and won, he'd be in line to fight the champ. Oscar is just afraid to loose any of his golden geese at this point, even when its been shown time and time again that losing to an elite fighter can actually skyrocket your career under the right circumstances.
