AJ's legacy goals have been shrinking over the years

It may end up with something like I did my best

That's getting your cake and eating it too. It's not impossible, and Joshua's capable of pulling it off; but the cold facts are that Wilder, Fury and Zhang would, each and every one; be FAR, FAR more difficult opponents than Andy Ruiz Jr OR Oleksandr Usyk. FAR, FAR more difficult.

This guy earned way too much money way too soon.

He’s not hungry anymore and it has ruined him as a fighting man.

AJ better stay away from Wilder.
You are right that it's not a legacy. That said, a great legacy isn't much use to you if your health is destroyed.

A lot of what Joshua says is a bit cringeworthy, but there's nothing wrong with fighters aiming to walk away from the sport with all their faculties intact.

Ali and SRR have amazing legacies, but they are forever tinged with the tragic toll they took on the fighters. There is definitely something to be said for fighters like Lennox Lewis and the Klitschkos who managed to achieve impressive things in the sport of boxing and manage to walk away at the right time.

It is a bit weird for Joshua to feel like he needs to air this intention now, but nothing wrong in having the intention.

Maybe not the specific boxer but the boxers family might benefit.
Removing the health angle, many boxers retire broke.

If AJ can find solace within himself to step away with all his marbles and a ton of cash.....he should not hesitate.

                  Of all people, Andy.....smh

Truth...because it'll just encourage Wilder to actively seek a "Body on the Record" - due to being ducked for years.
