Not the best thing to hear coming from AJ. Obviously, I think we all want fighters to be able to retire in great health and well off financially, but that should be the goal for everyone. To say you want that to be your legacy, you might as well retire now and practically ensure it. It just really sounds like the hunger to be great is gone.AmpMcv

Joshua should have kept this information to himself. I would not put something like that publicly in any online source. He has two options if he wants to stay healthy. One, he can start blitzing guys in the first round and take them out early to avoid further boxing damage. Two is that he can commit to better defense in his fights. If he commits to better defense then he won't have to take two many punches which could prolong his boxing career. He should find trainers that teach better defense. Floyd Mayweather offered to train him and he should take him up on that offer. Hopefully, Joshua can do one of those two things to enhance his career and intentions of not damaging his health long term.
Like others said in earlier posts, Joshua is very very fragile at the moment after getting beaten up by Ruiz Jr. His fragile ego has showed in his last few fights with Franklin and Usyk. If Joshua can't make these adjustments then Wilder will help him if they fight in December by knocking him out early. After he gets knocked out he should retire with plenty of money and good health.

That's is a cashing out speach.
This has though been Aj & Eddie's mo from the start.
In 18 he told everyone on sky tv "i won't be rushed into the Wilder fight "when asked when he said"19 20 21"Hearn then said" 2020, Wilder might even loose by then". Quacky quack quack.
All Aj did was knock over some cans on the way to buying the Martin belt then boxed shot past it 38-41 year olds avoiding the best. He's only relevant through rematchroom paperwork. Imagine in 19 Wilder Ruiz for undesputed.
Like Wilder Aj was a prospect belt holder but at least Wilder had the stones to fight Fury in the greatest trilogy since Bowe Holyfield in the 90s.
Aj only stepped up to fight Usyk because he had to & Eddie was alway's crying "we could drop the belt" wanting applause for Aj fighting his first live opponent.
Aj was never elite, i will say on the way up he had the same swagger as Anderson today, unafraid to get hit.... Then he stepped up & if Klitschko wasn't 41! Aj was done.Last edited by Bob; 05-05-2023, 11:36 AM.The D3vil likes this.

Poor guy, doesn't even know he's too ****** to get old as **** and not be dumb as ****. Not all old dudes who struggle to speak got hit in the head to get there. They were just dumb and as their brain slowed down tard was all that's left.
