Fighters are often taken advantage of by managers, promoters, etc. A fighter is not a lawyer so they depend on their manager and others for money matters. They should make the squirmy lawyers fight Pacquiao for the money.

De la hoya was the face of boxing and the A side during mayweathers whole career leading into their 2007 fight. Floyd had no say so in when a de la hoya fight happened. It was solely on Oscar the cash cow. Floyd was barely doing 300k ppv at that time. He couldnt make a de la hoya fight unless oscar said so. Nothing Floyd could do but wait til Oscar chose him.
