He said 150 but I'm guessing it's that plus 10. He's also probably kept it down over the last couple of fights with the quick turnarounds and knowing how hard it gets to make 135.

There's nothing wrong with that, mayweather was doing it in most of his fights.

You are correct. Hopkins came in under the contracted weight which was a surprise to many.

He is responding to your questioning. A boxer chose not to answer a question and you have jumped to conclusions, he could had said his walk around weight is 147lbs and you wouldn’t had believed him. Just relax and stop getting your knickers in a twist

                    Agreed to an extent
But at the same time, we can’t ignore it completely without justification. Otherwise we’re turning a blind eye to potentially relevant facts, out of convenience

if they can make weight, then great. But if there’s question marks over the extent of their weight cuts, especially at their first weight class, we should take into account when looking at their career as a whole. Should Haney sit at the top of 140 and 147 too, the weight issue becomes irrelevant. If he starts to struggle, questions can be asked

If Haney makes 135 at the weigh in, nothing else matters. What he walks around at outside of training camp isnt relevant.

Wait- are you saying his walk around weight should br factored into how we evaluate his career?

That is ridiculous. His career is based in what he does in the ring, not what he weighs 3 months before camp starts?

What he does in the future is irrelevant now. Should he grow out of LW as he ages, ok. If he cant make 135 he isnt a LW.
