Comments Thread For: Anderson-Kossobutskiy, Makhmudov-Akpejiori Doubleheader Official, July 1 on ESPN

Jared "The Real Big Baby" Anderson will collide against Kazakhstan's Zhan Kossobutskiy in a 10-round main event Saturday, July 1, at Toledo's Huntington Center. Anderson will fight for the first time as a pro in his hometown, just a few days shy of the 104th anniversary of Jack Dempsey's historic win over Jess Willard on July 4, 1919, at Toledo's Bay View Park. Dempsey's triumph heralded a new era in his illustrious career, and Anderson expects to do the same in his first headlining attraction.

I have never seen Akpejiori. I see he is undefeated KO artist. Anybody has any idea how good he is?

I have never seen Akpejiori fight, but his opponents have all been tomato cans. Seems way out of his depth. But he's a big, strong guy. Anything can happen.

I looked up some videos, when I believe this fight was first proposed

Akpejiori looks like he came from a different sport

He is not a boxer, he just over powered low level fighters

Anyone with any semblance of skill puts him to sleep unfortunately

I see Anderson making short work of Koss & big Mak will crush his opponent in the first round. Koss looks like another Dimitrenko or Teslenko to me.
