  • Is Shakur overrated?

Everyone talking him up as special and generational, but I don't see it. He looks talented and skilled but he has no sfx, and is similar to Haney imo just without the clinching. I don't see an amazing fighter, and his record is trash, and he lacks power. So far he looks like a 7.5 fighter to me, and will struggle against the top guys at 135 imo.

He is the eye tested fighter, just like Tank so far.

He is not a cash cow, so he is not overrated.

Even the eye test is not WOW though. They are talking about him like the second coming of Floyd.

Not as far as I know, he looked great and took out an undefeated ranked lightweight who beaten Nakatani faster than Loma, however people might overestimate Shuichiro's win. Nakatani was already done after facing too much punishment from both Teo and Loma.

Didn't like that after he missed weight, he got infuriated by the fact that Robson was putting up a good fight at the start, then Shakur just decided to land like 3-5 low blows per round and slammed him WWE style.

Even mentioning that japanese domestic fighter is a joke.

He also landed a bunch of low blows vs Valdez and just grinned after he did it, no apology, seems like a dirty fighter also.

Well it's not like Yoshino is a bad fighter at all. He is a solid fighter.

Wouldn't be shocked if he did it out of frustration, in an interview done prior to the Robson fight after it got released after Stevenson vs Conceicao, Shakur mentioned this:

              17:00

"My last fight, I ain't get hurt by a punch in the face, but I got hurt with a body shot, the crowd got crazy but they don't really know like he was just throwing a lot of punches, so they are going crazy for him, but they don't know and he don't know that I'm really hurt."

"It really hurted bad, so I am trying to play it off, I'm giving him the face like I'm letting him know I'm still here and I went back to the corner, I sat down and looked at my grandfather, said yo I feel like I gotta throw up."

                Teo didn't punish Nakatani.
maybe the fight with he dude who killed hos wife did more damage..
                Forget that pos name.
I do agree that L9ma punished him

Not really, certain fans overrate everybody, but Shakur has all the tools. I can’t see any noticeable flaws in his game. The only thing we haven’t seen tested is his chin.

he's not even that popular yet to reach overrated level. fans can be extreme fans of any boxer, doesn't make them overrated overall. Broner was overrated, Khan was overrated.. and many more. but shakur? nah he just starting out making noise.
