Can't remember which fights as I'm not a Loma fan, but I've seen fighters clinch him up a bit and he wriggles out rather well. Thinking this can be detrimental against Huggies Haney.

Loma fans, am I correct in my assertions on Loma and clinching?

The Rigo fight is likely what you’re thinking of. He’s good at breaking clinches. Not as sneaky as Beterbiev getting out of them, but highly effective.

Richard Commey got KD'd in a clinch.

I think Nakatani did as well.

Loma takes advantage of the milliseconds before the ref comes in and implements a break. Opponent ends up with a sour face looking at the ref complaining. That's what I can remember at this point. Of course, a lot of things happen very fast and most things got nothing to do with anything.

If Loma returns to his very best, not only he won't be hugged by Haney - he's going to win the fight.

lomachenkos not fought anyone who hugs as well as haney does... looks easy to avoid from the outside but when haney wants to give you a nice big hug its hard to stop him
