  • Comments Thread For: Liam Paro, WBO Seek New Opponent For Title Eliminator; Barboza To No Longer Proceed With Bout

Liam Paro is already in search of a new opponent. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that unbeaten junior welterweight contender Arnold Barboza will no longer move forward with the ordered WBO junior welterweight title eliminator versus Paro. The development comes one day after Matchroom Boxing secured the rights to the final elimination bout through a purse bid hearing held Thursday at WBO headquarters in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Here we go with the bullshxt

Ramirez won't take the fight either. I guess we're getting Paro vs. Ergashev then.

Ramirez as per him don't fight for so little money. TR will maneuver him to a shot without having to fight an elimination fight.

an eliminator should be 50/50 matchroom win bid and the lowball offer goes in hence the fight wont happen

I don't think it's Bob blocking this one. 40% of $303k is not a lot of money for someone used to making considerably more on TR cards. Eddie knew EXACTLY what he was doing bidding that low. And if the WBO thinks Ramirez is taking this fight, then I've got some nice beachfront property for sale in Idaho if they're interested.

Bob had all the chances to bid more. Why didn't he?

Because it's a trash fight. Why would he? No one over here knows Parro. Hell, not many fans over here knows Barboza.
