I’m dreading the thought of watching Haney so I can make a prediction on this fight. I just hope he’s not allowed to spoil too much and we get a good fight.

Haney by UD is a very safe bet IMO
He had no problem closing the gap on Ortiz. Haney is a flatfooted, low output fighter. Diaz got to him quite a bit. Loma should get to him relatively easily.

He had big problems. Loma looked terrible vs Ortiz. Looked visibly a fighter in decline.

Yeah Diaz actually touched Haney up quite a bit and he’s pretty flat footed.

I see Haney vs Loma playing out similar to Haney vs Diaz tbh.

If the referee allows unlimited holding, then I think Haney cruises to an uneventful jab & grab win. He has an excellent jab and he's a scoring machine behind it.

Lomachenko in his current state is leagues better than JoJo.

Triangle theories generally don’t work. That argument works both ways too. You could easily say Haney is far better than Jamaine Ortiz.

Loma doesn’t have the athleticism or physical ability to close the gap against Haney. I think the Loma of 3/4 years ago beats Haney, but this version of Loma gets jabbed and grabbed all night and loses a UD.

I guess we’ll see how it plays out on the night.

The Lomachenko of the Ortiz fight should have no issue closing distance on flat-footed Haney. And it's not about triangle theories. It's that the aspects of Diaz's fighting style that troubled Haney are done by Loma at a far higher level. And what indication do we have that Haney is substantially better than Ortiz?

You think Haney is flat footed? He’s got very good feet.

Who’s Ortiz ever beat? What’s his best win? It wasn’t long ago he was going life and death with Adorno.

I can’t stand Haney but he’s clearly a far better fighter than Jamaine Ortiz.
