They said another fighter had one too. Not a good look if true. Were they making people sign NDAs or some ****? Lol -
In an interview with DAZN’s Ak & Barak, former super-lightweight champion Regis Prograis aired his frustrations with Al Haymon and PBC, and at what he perceives as a lack of follow-through on matchups promised to him.
Following his TKO victory over Juan Heraldez on the undercard of the Gervonta Davis - Leo Santa Cruz PPV on October 31, 2020, “Rougarou” claims PBC had promised him an opportunity to face Mario Barrios for his “secondary” “title,” only for Barrios to then claim unequivocally that he was no longer able to make the weight. Prograis said he then passed along his interest in fighting for the vacant “belt,” before learning that Barrios would remain at the weight and fight Gervonta Davis instead.
“I understand it’s a business decision, it’s a way bigger fight on his resume, he’ll get paid way more probably. I understand that. But, still, for me and from my eyes, that was some b******* s*** that he did.”

Barrios probably had too much pride to mention the rehydration clause in public, but I wonder if he was coerced into not disclosing that info.Comment

Tank is using his earning power in an extreme way.
Fact is, SRL, ODH, Floyd and Canelo used it as well. They were the legit cash cow and champions when they did. Big Stars like Manny and Chavez did as well.
None of them have been as extreme as Tank. All had accomplished a lot more than him.
Tank is taking advantage of his opponents. This will hurt him if and when he fights other earners that don’t have to sell their soul for a big payday.
Cant rig the system forever.
I do however get a kick out of how mad this makes his haters.
That he gets away with it proves false what all of them say about Tank not being a draw or a star.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 04-27-2023, 01:05 PM.Comment

Now it kinda makes sense how Tank took him out with a body shot. tank is very physically strong, however he hadn't applied much body work throughout the fight until the late rounds.
One of the few things Barrios has going for him is his durability shown in his fights against Akhmedov and Thurman.Last edited by Malvado; 04-27-2023, 01:02 PM.Comment

I don't have an issue. If fighters complaining about rehydration clauses it means they are a weight bully in the first place and shouldn't even be at the weight they fight at, if they were at their normal weight then opponents wouldn't need to think about rehydration clauses.
10lbs rehydration is fair. an IBF champ has those rules as mandatory. So why is it a big deal

stop trying to rain on tanks parade, he likes to fight bigger guys & all he is doing is making it fair
tank rehydrates 10ibs overnight at 135 so its not fair if someone rehydrates more than that
its simple maths applied fairlyComment
