Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia: I Started Getting Bored In There, Tried To Press, Ended Up Getting Knocked Out

LAS VEGAS - Ryan Garcia regrets that he wasn't disciplined enough Saturday night to give himself a better chance to beat Gervonta Davis. His haste cost him versus Davis, who capitalized on Garcia's mistakes and ultimately knocked him out with a well-placed

If you're getting bored in a boxing ring/match during your biggest fight in front of millions, you might be in the wrong sport/profession

I mean at least he's honest in saying that. But that's what Davis wants you to do he's so patient he fights low volume till eventually the other guy either starts trying to push the fight or slows down an then he takes over even if he loses rounds etc. Haney or Shakur will give him a harder fight for the fact they are more disciplined with there game plan an even if a crowds booing them thell just stick to it an win the rounds by any means even if it's negative.

My two cents. I was totally wrong in how Garcia would approach this fight. I give him credit for trying to be exciting, but it was embarrassing IMO. He has that much of a length and height advantage, plus KO power, and he comes in trying to brawl in the first few rounds, it was stunningly immature. He could have jabbed and picked his spots at will with his advantages.

Tank has power, that is what he has. He showed great patience and I give him alot of credit. But Garcia fought like an idiot, and "getting bored"....I am not a huge fan of either fighter, but have always found Tank exciting because he can get beat up for rounds, but has that big shot. This fight made me respect Tank more.

The fight could have been great. Ryan needs to really work on implementing a game plan.

If you get knocked down by Luke Campbell, you get knocked out by Tank Davis. It's that simple.

What he really mean to say is that he didn't know what to do. He kept on getting countered and didn't know how to adjust. When he finally started to use the right hand what happened in the second round happen again. He got countered hard, it is not like he was winning rounds, he was lost.

How many excuses are there already from him? Drained, death threats, mole, bored, not disciplined, etc.
