i think beating barrera is pac's best win even if he beats cotto.

floyd's best win is beating corrales and i think corrales slightly edges out cotto. though i guess you have to take into account this is at welterweight for a featherweight.

yes but what does that have to do with the topic?

he's asking if pac beating cotto is better than any of floyd's wins NOT if it is better than beating floyd.

The same Corrales who had to spit his mouth-piece out twice(charlie-zelenoff style)to get a breather so he could get his energy back in the castillo fight? Nah, Cotto is better he has wins over Clottey, Mosley, and Judah. Corrales beat Castillo because he cheated in the first fight(no disrespect to and corrales fans, and r.i.p chico).

Castillo was beaten before. Oscar was beaten before. Corrales was unbeaten but at Floyd's prime weight. Manny was a Super Featherweight a year and a half ago. Beating a top two Welterweight is unheard of and people are dismissing it like it's just another win.

i answered the question in my first line.....

bottom line is, if pacman beats cotto, it probably says more about cotto's status as an elite fighter right now, than pacman. cotto loses, especially if he gets seriously hurt, or KO/TKO, then the feeling will be that he was in too many wars, and should think about hanging them up.

cotto's still a good fighter, but a win over him, even by a smaller fighter like manny, just doesn't carry the same mystique as it would have...

at the time floyd fought corrales , corrales was ranked above mayweather at 130 and was undefeated.

corrales was #3 in ring's top 10 p4p at the time i think.

the only reason a cotto win for pac would top that win is because of the weight division it's in. it's crazy to think that a guy who was at 122 6-7 years ago is fighting a champ at 147.
